3Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and Chicago Lawyer hosted its 2nd Annual Women in Law Conference on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Maggiano’s in River North. The morning began with a keynote from Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, followed by three panel discussions featuring some of the most influential women in Chicago and how they are making a difference in the profession. Topics included moving from second to first chair, how to gain the experience you need to be successful in the courtroom, inside viewpoints from female judges and how to maneuver through some of the challenges and opportunities that can arise.

We are so proud of this annual event and the opportunity to bring together women across various sectors of the law to share their knowledge and insight to help other women succeed.

How To Get to the Top: Rising, Rainmaking and Relevancy
Women lawyers and in-house counsel share their experience and strategies for rising through the ranks of your law firm or organization, tips for becoming a rainmaker and securing business for your firm, along with how to make sure you remain relevant at any stage of your career.

It’s an unprecedented time for local law schools in Illinois, as five of the six universities have women deans. Meet these five remarkable women and learn how they aspired to where they are today, what they see for the future of women in the law and how they are inspiring women attorneys to achieve their missions.
