Each year, The Jury Verdict Reporter looks forward to bringing together both sides of the bar and the bench to connect and honor outstanding accomplishments by local trial attorneys.

Bringing together the leaders in our community is a critical aspect of the JVR Trial Lawyer Excellence Awards. Unfortunately, with circumstances surrounding COVID-19, bringing everyone together is not possible this year. While we have identified some impressive awards, we have made the decision to postpone the awards until 2021.

We have decided, however, to host a brief virtual event in which we will:

• Acknowledge the top firms recognized in the 2020 JVR Settlement Report published in the Chicago Lawyer magazine.
• Share some trend information on outcomes by case type and jurisdiction.
• Offer some tips for preparing for your mandatory pretrials and mediations.
