Assistant Accounting Manager

Position Summary:

Process and verify billing for various departments of the company. Responsible for collecting a portion of the company’s outstanding accounts receivable. Assemble invoices and mail/e-mail to customers.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Regular attendance
  • Process billing for conferences and Real Estate advertising
  • Process monthly billing for Lawyerport
  • Verify daily billing for advertising in the newspaper
  • Process daily billing for Jury Verdict
  • Provide customer support for internal and external customers
  • Collection of outstanding accounts receivable
  • Backup for cash posting, adjustment processing and legal notice billing
  • Backup for Accounting Manager
  • Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Position Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree
  • 3 – 5 years of general accounting experience, billing and collections
  • Core Competencies
    • High level of accuracy
    • Detail orientated
    • Strong math aptitude
    • Meet due dates and deadlines
    • Knowledge of general accounting
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Khameleon accounting software a plus, not a requirement
